This is Government Attic's posting of a 1969 Library of Congress annotated bibliography, UFOs and Related Subjects, compiled by Lynn E. Catoe for the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. The Defense Technical Information Center released it under FOIA in November 2014. The bibliography lists more than 1,600 items and was requested to support the University of Colorado UFO study led by Edward U. Condon. Its preface concludes that no simple, single explanation of the UFO phenomenon applies to all cases.

Survey of references to unexpla: ,d aerial phenomena from Biblical times
through the 19th century. Simil...rities between ancient and modern accounts
are noted. Author suggests that mythology and the literature of the supernatural
