This is Government Attic's posting of a 1969 Library of Congress annotated bibliography, UFOs and Related Subjects, compiled by Lynn E. Catoe for the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. The Defense Technical Information Center released it under FOIA in November 2014. The bibliography lists more than 1,600 items and was requested to support the University of Colorado UFO study led by Edward U. Condon. Its preface concludes that no simple, single explanation of the UFO phenomenon applies to all cases.

The nature of the physical world. London, J. M. Dent Sons, 1935. 345 p. Summary of the philosophy of the new physics: (1) The symbolic nature of the entities of physics is generally recognized and the scheme of physics is formu- lated in such a way as to maki:: it almost self-evident that it is a partial aspect of something wider; (2) Strict causality is abandoned in the material world; (3) Recognizing that the physical world is entirely abstract and without 'actual- ity' apart from its linkage to consciousness, we restore consciousness to the fundamental position instead of representing it as an inessential complication occasionally found in the midst of inorganic nature at a late stage of evolution- ary history; (4) The sanction for correlating a 'real' physical world to certain feelings of which we are conscious does not seem to differ in any essential re- spect from the sanction for correlating a spiritual domain to ~ .•other side of our personality.
