This is Government Attic's posting of a 1969 Library of Congress annotated bibliography, UFOs and Related Subjects, compiled by Lynn E. Catoe for the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. The Defense Technical Information Center released it under FOIA in November 2014. The bibliography lists more than 1,600 items and was requested to support the University of Colorado UFO study led by Edward U. Condon. Its preface concludes that no simple, single explanation of the UFO phenomenon applies to all cases.

A.nal~•sis of the 700-page observations of Zodiacal Light made Apr. 4, 1853 to
Feb. 3, 1855, by Rev. Jones, Chaplain of Commodore Perry's expedition to
Japan, seems to indicate that some components of tb"J "tight'· were artificially-
propelled luminous objects with behavior identical to that of UFOs.
