H.R. 1187, the UAP Transparency Act, was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Mr. Burchett on February 11, 2025 and referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. The bill would require the President, within 270 days of enactment, to direct every federal department or agency holding records on unidentified anomalous phenomena to declassify them and post them on a public website. It also requires progress reports to Congress starting at 360 days and quarterly thereafter.
