The Roswell Report: Case Closed is a 1997 US Air Force report written by Captain James McAndrew, with a foreword by Secretary of the Air Force Sheila E. Widnall. It follows up the 1994 report, which found that the 1947 debris came from the balloon project MoGUL. It concludes that the reported alien bodies were probably anthropomorphic test dummies dropped from high altitude balloons. It attributes the hospital body claims to a 1956 KC-97 crash and a 1959 manned balloon mishap.

Another project I \Vas involved \Vith \Vas the Air Force investigations of l 'FOs. Project
Bluebook. Since I was a meteorologist and amateur astronomer I evaluated, stm1ing in
195 L local sightings of UFOs. :-.Jew 1v1exico had alot of sightings because of the good
visibility and the many experimental projects of the White Sands PrO\·ing Grounds. Dming
my time on Project Bluebook there \Vasn 't any sightings that we could not explain.

Another project \Vith \vhich I was involved, \vas the NASA Voyager and Viking Projects.
These space vehicles were tested by launching them trom our balloons at extremely high
altitude to simulate the atmosphere of Venus and \1ars. To utilize the instmmentation on
the \.Vhite Sands l\;fissile Range I elected to launch the balloons and attached space vehicles
from the Rosw·ell lndlL<>trial Air Center, formerly the Rosv,:ell Army Aidield. The
Holloman Balloon Branch made approximately eight launches of these two vehicles from
Roswell. In appearance the Viking and Voyager probes could be mistaken tor a 11ying
saucer. They \Vere both unclassified highly publicized projects and I do not recall getting
any UFO reports for these flights. I bcJjeve one of these probes is on display at White
Sands :Vlissilc Range and its known as the "flying saucer".
