The Roswell Report: Case Closed

US Air Force · 1997 · 234 pages · text from the file's own layer

The Roswell Report: Case Closed is a 1997 US Air Force report written by Captain James McAndrew, with a foreword by Secretary of the Air Force Sheila E. Widnall. It follows up the 1994 report, which found that the 1947 debris came from the balloon project MoGUL. It concludes that the reported alien bodies were probably anthropomorphic test dummies dropped from high altitude balloons. It attributes the hospital body claims to a 1956 KC-97 crash and a 1959 manned balloon mishap.

Aircraft Accidents
The examination of events that involved the Walker AFB
hospital that may explain reports of bodies was begun by reviewing the
most prominent possible source, which were aircraft accident(s).* A
review of aircraft accidents from 194 7 to 1960 revealed eight fatal
accidents that involved Walker AFB.

The following three basic criteria were used to narrow research
efforts to specific accidents for more detailed examinations: were the victims
burned, resulting in possible descriptions of "black" "little bodies"?; were
the victims transported to the Walker AFB hospital?; and, were the victims
' Other possible explanations such as automobile accidents, house fires, etc., were also
examined. However, none of these were determined to be responsible for this account of bodies.
