The Roswell Report: Case Closed

Internet Archive · 232 pages · text by OCR

The Roswell Report: Case Closed is a 1997 Headquarters United States Air Force report by Captain James McAndrew that follows up the 1994 Air Force report on the Roswell Incident. It concludes that the 1947 debris came from Project MOGUL balloons. It also says the reported alien bodies were probably anthropomorphic dummies dropped from high altitude balloons. Claims of bodies at the Roswell hospital most likely combined a 1956 KC-97 crash and a 1959 manned balloon mishap.

practice in Farmington and the Four Corners region of New Mexico. Clouthier's confirmation that Nordstrom was the first pediatrician to practice in the Farmington area, was based on both his frequent professional contacts with local physicians and his experiences as a longtime Farmington resident. $ ^{64} $

Although Nordstrom believed that he was the pediatrician described, he was at a loss to explain how Dennis gained information concerning his military and civilian employment history. In a signed sworn statement, Nordstrom stated that he did not recall ever meeting Dennis and had certainly never been visited by Dennis as he has claimed. One possible source of the information is that from approximately 1958 until approximately 1961 Dennis operated a drugstore in Aztec, N.M., a small town near Farmington where Nordstrom resides (interestingly Aztec is the location of the original "crashed flying saucer" story, see below). However, Nordstrom also did not recall any contact with Dennis in his capacity as a drugstore operator.

## Behind the Roswell Incident?

The "Roswell Incident" story is hardly original. In 1948, a work of fiction reportedly appeared in the Aztec (N.M.) Independent Review describing the crash of a flying saucer with "little men" near Aztec, N.M. In 1950, Frank Scully, a columnist for the theatrical publication Variety, published a book, Behind the Flying Saucers, which proclaimed the story to be true. $ ^{65} $ Based on

# Flying Saucer Swindlers

By J. P. CAHN

Bak in 1952, the September issue of xita ran a story of mine titled The Flying Saucers and the Mysterious Little Man. It was an expoe of a best-selling book that maintained flying saucers from Venus; manned by $800 characters in blue suits, landed on earth. Despite solenoid pressure, the saucers completed a complete loop. I rounded up proof that the little-meets-from Venus yarn was as phony as a headwacker's bow and smile.

Dugging into the story of the boggy flying saucers I learned that two men-Silas M. Newton and Leo A. Geissler had manufactured the boat and flogged it off a gullible anchor. When we broke the story, true and I had

some pretty good ideas why Neaton and Geller had updied their yarn, but we couldn't prove our amuplies. And what we can't prove you don't print. So we said what we could, and hoped for the rest. Thank you to trust in your leadership, we got the new keths we were hoping for, and now we can give you the wrap-up story on as slippery a path of swindlers as ever came down the pike. It happened like this.

As we had suspected, while climbing the firing sage story to earth, Newton and Geebauer were more than a couple of miles away. In 1801, he arrived at 1911. It started with an arrest for comparity in Montclair, New Jersey, and worked his way through grand lar
