This French Gendarmerie procès-verbal, no. 600 of 1990, is held in the GEIPAN (CNES) files. It records two farmers who phoned the gendarmerie on 6 November 1990 and were formally heard on 14 November. Both saw a luminous trail on 5 November 1990 around 18:30 to 19:00: a round red or orange object topped by a small light, moving west to east for 20 to 40 seconds. Press clippings are attached, and the report notes NASA's conclusion that the lights were a Soviet rocket third stage re-entering the atmosphere.
