This Central Intelligence Agency information report, disseminated on 3 July 2008 and classified Secret NOFORN, relays heavily redacted reporting from Zimbabwe. It describes an unidentified object hovering at high altitude over Harare International Airport on the afternoon of 2 July 2008, possibly observed by radar and optical means. Observers described a disc-like object with a hollow center and rotating lights that shifted colors before it rapidly ascended out of view. The incident contributed to a decision to place a Zimbabwean entity on high alert.
