This FBI file (62-HQ-83894, Serial 130) compiles 1947 Army Air Forces reports on flying disc sightings. It includes Air Defense Command interviews at Mitchel Field with Pan American Airways captain Alpheus O. Powell and navigator Walter I. White, who saw orange and gold cylindrical objects near Boston on 4 August 1947. It also holds Birmingham, Alabama newspaper coverage and a sergeant's sworn statement on July 1947 discs, and Air Transport Command reports of sightings around Harmon Field, Codroy and other Newfoundland locations.
