This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section (62-HQ-83894, Section 10) holds UFO-related correspondence from 1966 to 1977. In a 1966 letter, Florence C. Dow of Goffstown, New Hampshire asked whether subscribing to the Amalgamated Flying Saucer Clubs of America journal might link her to communists. J. Edgar Hoover replied that the Bureau does not evaluate organizations, and a copy of the journal is enclosed. Other items include a 1977 Air Force fact sheet on the end of Project Blue Book and a White House inquiry answered by the FBI, which said it had no jurisdiction over UFO sightings.

On April 26, 1967 , PAUL li. PnEllL, 1430 Southwest
76th Street, 11111Dii, Plorida, appeared at the M1aa1 Office and
furniShed the following information relating to an object,
presently referred to as an unidentified :tlytns object, he
allegedly photographed during NOYember, 1944 :
Saa.etlme clUriJlB 1943, be ~duated fraa the
German Air Academy and ee assigned as a m•ber of the
Luftwaffe on the Russian Front. Rear the end of 1944, he
was released fraa this duty and was asslped .. a test
pilot to a top secret pro;ject in the BJ.Ack Forest of Austria.

It -.s saucer sba~d, about twnty-one feet in diaaeter,
radio control led, and mounted several Jet enstnes around the
extc,rior. portion of the craft. He further described the
exter.t.or portion as revolving around the dome in the center
-which remained stationary. It ... P.BtBBi,' s responsibility

was able to retaill a neptiYe of a photograph he made at 7 , 000
ten (20, 000 feet) . A Xerox copy ot the negative , as furnished

According to PEfERL,, the ab<we aircraft waa dest~ed
and engineered b)' (Ptrst Name UD.ki'.town) K.UEllR, a Genaan engineer
nose present whereabouts is unknown to him. Be assumed KUBBR
was taken into custody by Allied Forces upon the tenaf.Dation
of bostilities . P.BYERJ.. stated s:uma unsuccessfully attempted
to avoid the Gena.an draft, but was apprehended by the Gestapo
