This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section (62-HQ-83894, Section 10) holds UFO-related correspondence from 1966 to 1977. In a 1966 letter, Florence C. Dow of Goffstown, New Hampshire asked whether subscribing to the Amalgamated Flying Saucer Clubs of America journal might link her to communists. J. Edgar Hoover replied that the Bureau does not evaluate organizations, and a copy of the journal is enclosed. Other items include a 1977 Air Force fact sheet on the end of Project Blue Book and a White House inquiry answered by the FBI, which said it had no jurisdiction over UFO sightings.

This file is partially posted on FBI vault with more redactions and some pages missing. Included here is the complete case file with several newly declassified pages and only minor redactions.

F. 0' s I asked for the stamp & sent $3. 00 for the 12 issues of AFSCA. Having received & read my first issue I feel it isn't just what it appears on the surface. I can't say just why, but with my limited idea of how communists operate it strikes me it is backed by them. My reason for writing this is that I consider myself a true American, I am told my ancestors go back to a Gr Gr Gr Grandmother who was an Indian Squaw & I'm proud of it. If, by writing for this AFSCA Report, my name could in anyway be aligned with the communist party, I would like to know if there is any way I ,. ,,,c../ can get things straightened 01:1t.
