This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section (62-HQ-83894, Section 8) collects 1954 and 1957 memoranda, letters and teletypes on flying saucer matters. It includes a Cincinnati report on Thomas Eickhoff's concerns about lectures by Truman Bethurum and George Hunt Williamson, a Milford, Ohio sighting, and a Navy officer's account of Mrs. Frances Swan's claimed messages from outer space. It also records a 1957 Detroit interview with a former prisoner of war who described a circular vehicle that stalled a tractor engine in Germany in 1944.

REPORTED AT APPROXIMATELY 9:00 PM, NOVEMBER 7, 1957, SIGHTING
A BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT FLYING THROUGH THE AIR IN A SOUTHWESTERLY
DIRECTION FROM DANVILLE, ILLINOIS. OFFICERS TRIED TO FOLLOW
IN THEIR CAR IN THE SAME DIRECTION AND DROVE GENERALLY IN A
SOUTH~ESTERLY DIR CTION FOR TWENTY MILES EN THEY LOST SIGHT
OF THE OBJECT. DURING THIS Tl E IT APPEARED AS BRIGHT WHITE,
AMBER AND ORANGE. NO INDICATION THAT IT DIPPED TO THE GROUND
OR THAT IT AFFECTED THEIR CAR . THEY REPORTED FOR A FE SECONDS
IT SEEMED TO AFFECT BOTH THE RECEIVER AND TRANSMITTER OF THEIR
