This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section, part of file 62-HQ-83894, gathers flying saucer correspondence and memoranda mostly from 1952, with some from 1954. It includes a Savannah River Plant sighting teletype, Hoover replies that send public letters on to the Air Force, a San Diego report on Borderland Sciences, and a laboratory exam of the scoutmaster Desvergers' cap that found no residue. It also covers instructions to refer disc reports to OSI and a 1954 Cincinnati matter involving Truman Bethurum.

The records include high-profile incident accounts, photographic evidence from sites like Oak Ridge, TN, and technical proposals regarding potential propulsion systems. Additional topics include convention programs, researcher accounts, and extensive media coverage from the period. This file is partially posted on FBI vault with more redactions and some pages missing. Included here is the complete case file with several newly declassified pages and only minor redactions.

According to Sheriff RADCLIFF, Mr. STEVENSON reported that a saucer- shaped object bad landed on his farm some time ago, and this r eport eventually reached local newspapers. In June, 1953, an i ndividual discussed the matter with Mr. STEVENSON. Sheriff RADCLIFF advised that t his person d i d not, to his knowledge, r epresent himself to be an FBI Agent . The Sheriff further declared that he has known BRUCE STEVENSON all his life and that he is a prosperous , well-respected l ocal farmer, who is considered trustworthy. Mr. BffiJ~VENSON , Rural Route 2, was interviewed 7-14- 53 at which time he stated that shortl y after he received some publicity regard ing~·sre ort of sighting a saucer- shaped object, he was 'Visited by one JACK . , who gave his address as Post Office Box 5112, Tri-Village St ion, Columbus, Ohio. According to Mr. STEVENSON, GRAN!' told him he was a sal esman of television antennas , and that for over six years he had been pursuing the hobby of investigating 11 flying saucer11 reports . He emphasized that he had no official connection with any part of the Govern ment , but stated that he had once been 11 checked11 by the FBI. Mr. STEVENSON declared that GRANT showed him pictures of "flying saucers" and told him he was writing a book on the subject, which would be published soon.
