This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section, 62-HQ-83894 Section 6 (serials 246 to 301), collects FBI memoranda and correspondence from 1950 to 1952 on flying saucers. It covers green fireballs and discs seen near sensitive installations in New Mexico, Dr. Lincoln LaPaz's analysis, and the Air Force's Land-Air study known as Project Twinkle. It also holds an OSI summary, a USAF directive on reporting unconventional aircraft, a dissolving object reported by Philadelphia police, and letters from members of the public.

RE: Unidentified Aerial Object Sighted General Area Ritchie Highway, South Baltimore, Maryland, 10:45 PM, 29 Mar 52 by Donald Stewart, 2241 Warren Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland

Dear Sir:

There is attached for your information a copy of a report by Special Agent Boyce Royal of this office dated May 12, 1952, in regard to the captioned subject. Your attention is invited to the statement of Mr. Donald Stewart as reflected on page 4, paragraph 7, of the report, to the effect that, at the time of the alleged sighting of this object, he had in his possession a Thompson sub-machine gun. A copy of this attachment has also been furnished the Treasury Department.

No further inquiry into this matter is contemplated by the Office of Special Investigations.
