This is Section 5 of the FBI's flying disk file 62-HQ-83894, made up of 1949 and 1950 correspondence. Most of it covers a letter sent to Walter Winchell by Peter Camerlon Jones, who said he saw a silver top-shaped object near Los Angeles in 1947. The Los Angeles office could not find him, and the Bureau suggested the letter was a prank. The section also holds a Navy intelligence report on 6 or 7 discs seen over southern Oregon on 27 May 1949, plus several letters from citizens.

In the dream it seemed that I was a child again watching grandfather at his work bench, and tho' at the time of that strange dream Grandfather was then deceased, but as I seemed to be standing beside him in the dream, he looked down at me and said " Florence whatever I dream always comes true." Actually I had never, while he lived with us in all those years ever heard him claim he had dreamed; so my only interpretation of the dream what he said in it would mean that what " I dreamed " etc. when he was young he was ordered to " goose-steps" into Prussia in the Franco-Prussian War, and he often told me in German how he hated war, I know how much he loved the beautiful and how really kind he was. He loved garden, flowers and did beautiful cabinet work. Doesn't it stand to reason that there is a very definite Doesn't it stand to reason that there is a very definite purpose in the disintrigation of the " I that we have advertised the fact that we think they are " interplanetary " and the country sending them are not afraid that we may find out different? That also there may be chemical disease germs within them that if they return to the original base might accidently be scattered within their own boundaries and dangers to their own welfare ?! And besides after all we have found out that mars is not inhabited! I might add now that I did not sign any name to the letters I wrote about that dream to the three Washington gentlemen, I was afraid to for we were so close to war with Germany then. I mailed them from Tulsa, so you might have heard of this happening at that time. We know that dream of 3 nights did not then come true. But there is still time that something very similar may yet happen! Enclosed is postage for mailing this to the party you know will consider it from a serious, possibility angle . Also a rough sketch that I made, my idea of Russids method . I would appreciate hearing your opinion on the above scientific possibility mentioned . I know nothing of Science actually .
