This is Section 5 of the FBI's flying disk file 62-HQ-83894, made up of 1949 and 1950 correspondence. Most of it covers a letter sent to Walter Winchell by Peter Camerlon Jones, who said he saw a silver top-shaped object near Los Angeles in 1947. The Los Angeles office could not find him, and the Bureau suggested the letter was a prank. The section also holds a Navy intelligence report on 6 or 7 discs seen over southern Oregon on 27 May 1949, plus several letters from citizens.

Since it has put the vast majority of people in a weakened condition, receptive of attack of a greater physical illness, something that may even be breathed from the air, may put us into a helpless, weak or sleeping condition that will give Russia a chance to walk in and take this country intact, without ever bombing or spoiling our rich oil and industrial supplies! (Russia has never yet gotten the oil she started out for.) If done in this manner we would wake up or come to and find ourselves possibly her slaves! It something to think about, and as I see it a very great possibility! so I'm praying that you place this matter with those or one you are certain will give it a very serious thought. If my theory is a true case, then if we could locate that base, we could save a great deal of trouble to our nation. The above mentioned matter tides in with what Dorothy before World War II to General Chief of Staff Marshall, President F. D. R. and Martin Dyes, about a seemingly fantastic dream I had three years or about that after the first world war. In that dream which I had 3 nights alike to the smallest detail and in succession. In that dream the Russians, Germans, and a slave eyed people came in the S. West marched a swarmed over our country to the North East, and in the dream we stood like stone
