This is Section 5 of the FBI's flying disk file 62-HQ-83894, made up of 1949 and 1950 correspondence. Most of it covers a letter sent to Walter Winchell by Peter Camerlon Jones, who said he saw a silver top-shaped object near Los Angeles in 1947. The Los Angeles office could not find him, and the Bureau suggested the letter was a prank. The section also holds a Navy intelligence report on 6 or 7 discs seen over southern Oregon on 27 May 1949, plus several letters from citizens.

## 6. P. S. I think I can get some information on the Russian submarine and what matters them go so deep downs . Ubalsky says he is sure our navy must localize them as they got dummies they put out some how in the water and can look one with the dummies he said they were making a long range rocket and pulling this engine it but that the sancer goes as fast as the rocket will. I was going to patent this engine even if I did get it from Ubalsty - I placed my self in great danger to get it - and damn in danger yet if anyone gives me away. But give it to the U.S.A. Quick and the U.S.A. can give me something for my efforts, I do not think the U.S.A. will turn me down - do you? and maybe I will ask a favor of the 7. B. T. - who knows.
