This is Section 5 of the FBI's flying disk file 62-HQ-83894, made up of 1949 and 1950 correspondence. Most of it covers a letter sent to Walter Winchell by Peter Camerlon Jones, who said he saw a silver top-shaped object near Los Angeles in 1947. The Los Angeles office could not find him, and the Bureau suggested the letter was a prank. The section also holds a Navy intelligence report on 6 or 7 discs seen over southern Oregon on 27 May 1949, plus several letters from citizens.

I am nervous over this and if this truer the dope he gave me — well if it ever got out I am a dead duck sure as hell but the U. S. Q. first and myself well I don't amount to much any hour. Ubalsty said another party will contact me if he don't in due time not any particular date. He said Russia is very well prepared for war and will make dams short work of Europe and England, Spain, France & India, Japan & Philippines, and he said it will be soon and when Russia starts it will matter little look like a lot of school kids he says he thinks Russia has 350 atomic bombs. If you want any plainer drawings of them sancers - yes I can draw plainer lines of course but the Air tech, engineers will dope it out - you see I am no good on electronic gadgets as required on this sancer but that is a good description of the drawings I saw. I case you write to me put same in plain envelope and address it to me at 336 Bird St. Yuba City, Calif. The jet I pictured is just the same as was on the drawings Ubalsky had. I would like to hear about this as this will give me an idea if this Ubalsky is trying to give me horse feathers - I think tho it is not any baloney - but maybe it is.
