This section of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's flying disc file (62-HQ-83894) collects 1949 and 1950 memos, teletypes and letters. It covers Walter Winchell's letter from Peter Camerlon Jones describing a 1947 top-shaped object in the mountains near Los Angeles, which the Los Angeles office could not trace and which may have been a prank. Other items include Glen Sprouse's report of a yellow rocket-like object near Parkersburg, West Virginia, a 1950 Louisville Times saucer film, and a hoax-like Chicago letter about a bomber called the Danse Macabre.
