This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section, compiled in 1947, collects newspaper clippings, memoranda, teletypes and letters about the summer's flying disc reports. It includes a July 1947 memo on a Grafton, Wisconsin priest's reported disc, which the Milwaukee office learned was a circular saw with wires, possibly a prank. Other items cover a disc found at Black River Falls, reports from Texas and Oregon, a San Diego memorandum on visitors, and Hoover's acknowledgments forwarding information to the War Department.

This file is partially posted on FBI vault with more redactions and some pages missing. Included here is the complete case file with several newly declassified pages and only minor redactions.

They reminded me of a nearly forgotten jncident in G~rmany, after the war. I report this to you because feel this m~y be of international scope. My buddy and I went on pass to see a friend of his. One evening the three of us were driving alone, some ba ck roads when I sighted a strange looking object in the sky from eight t o ten miles to our front and approx imatly 5,000 feet high. I immediatly stopped the jeep for a better look. fhe object rapidly came toward us, descending slowly. About a mile awa y i t stopped it's horizontal motion but continued a slow oscillating descent, similar to a descending parachute . Then suddenly it dropped in a spiral motion. Irr.mediatly I drove over to where it had dropped. It took almost five~ minutes to reach the pl a ce but we saw ..r.ittll -,rp ~nothing. After ten minutes of cruis-~ ing around the a rea it became t rod.ark to see so we went back to town. because I am not sure my companions saw thisAit happened so quickly it could easily have been missed, but I described what I had seen so vividly that they were as excited as I was.
