This Federal Bureau of Investigation Detroit file on unidentified flying objects opens in November 1957. The Director ordered an interview with Wladyslaw Krasuski, who had written to presidential assistant Robert Cutler about the rocket in Texas. Krasuski said that in 1944, as a prisoner of war near Gut Alt Golssen, Germany, he saw a circular vehicle rise from a walled enclosure while a tractor engine stalled. Agents noted no sign of mental instability. The file also holds a 1966 inquiry from an Oklahoma UFO group, which was referred to the Air Force.
