This U.S. Department of War box holds incident summaries 101 to 172 from 1948 unidentified flying object files, mostly check lists and incident summary sheets. It includes a huge fireball seen by B-29 crews, a pilot's half-moon silver object near the Philippines, Lt. Col. Robert B. Hughes's silver disc over Montgomery, Alabama, and Columbus, Ohio sightings judged likely to be two P-80s. It also covers a rocket reported exploding over Turkey and a long, narrow object that an American reporter saw near Moscow.

Each of these incident summaries includes a "Check-List - Unidentified Flying Objects" that contains details about the incident. Many summaries also include witness lists or statements and other narrative reports or descriptions.
