This is a preliminary transcript of the Gemini V (GT-5) flight crew debriefing, prepared by NASA's Spacecraft Operations Branch, Flight Crew Support Division, and dated September 1, 1965. It records Cooper and Conrad's operational account from the debriefing held August 30 to September 1, 1965 at Cape Kennedy. Topics include countdown, window fogging, POGO vibration, fairing jettison debris, radio loss, reentry and recovery. Visual sightings are left for a later part of the debriefing.

We got the 16mm out. We got the 35mm out. D- 6 equipment was Well, it ' s really D-2, it ' s what it was and I had that work so I decided, "I ' ll put together in pieces at the blob and the camera put together separately and they had it all loaded with the right film and everything and had it on the floor, and we were ready to go . " Were you pushed for time to do this? We were right on the money. We finally caught up after Canaries and we were on the schedule at Carnarvon. Yeah. We were in good shape at Carvarvon . Radar test #6, at 01 : 30, that worked fine . We did bring it on. It worked . Observed the transients on R dot, range and range rate. 6- 4 Preretro command load came out fine . Blood pressure on the Command Pilot there past Carnarvon, let's see . Now that was back over the Cape here, yeah. No , you broke the O-ring didn ' t you? Right off the IAL
