This is a preliminary transcript of the Gemini V (GT-5) flight crew debriefing, prepared by NASA's Spacecraft Operations Branch, Flight Crew Support Division, and dated September 1, 1965. It records Cooper and Conrad's operational account from the debriefing held August 30 to September 1, 1965 at Cape Kennedy. Topics include countdown, window fogging, POGO vibration, fairing jettison debris, radio loss, reentry and recovery. Visual sightings are left for a later part of the debriefing.

46 Conrad It seems to me we ' ve got some data for them on Primary scanner over the states so they could h~ve it on telemetry, They should be able to find out what happened on that , Cooper Yes , something was really fouled up , I think , Insertion Check List-- Conrad We went through it by the numbers , Cooper By the numbers , Thruster and Control Mode Check - we went t hrough by the numbers. Conrad Well , we were a little bit late, We get a little bit behind and it was about the time when we were late per forming the thruster control mode check because that was supposed to be done before you got to the Canaries and we did it after the Canaries .
