This is a preliminary transcript of the Gemini V (GT-5) flight crew debriefing, prepared by NASA's Spacecraft Operations Branch, Flight Crew Support Division, and dated September 1, 1965. It records Cooper and Conrad's operational account from the debriefing held August 30 to September 1, 1965 at Cape Kennedy. Topics include countdown, window fogging, POGO vibration, fairing jettison debris, radio loss, reentry and recovery. Visual sightings are left for a later part of the debriefing.

Yes, and I'll tell you one thing. I ' m still con
vinced right now sitting in this room that computer
will bring you right in to where you want to go if
you have the right load in it, because it just \worked
magnificently. It came in just like it was supposed
to and it did it on boost, too . I was really sold
on it. I think the computations in that computer
are accurate enough for the kind of work that a guy
can do onboard the spacecraft, and··it ' s a darn fine
piece of equipment and it was working well . We're
the first ones to get a good look at 7 and it
worked just l ike it was supposed to . If it had the
