This is a preliminary transcript of the Gemini V (GT-5) flight crew debriefing, prepared by NASA's Spacecraft Operations Branch, Flight Crew Support Division, and dated September 1, 1965. It records Cooper and Conrad's operational account from the debriefing held August 30 to September 1, 1965 at Cape Kennedy. Topics include countdown, window fogging, POGO vibration, fairing jettison debris, radio loss, reentry and recovery. Visual sightings are left for a later part of the debriefing.

Scott and Elliot ,a.nd they would start
giving us a little poop about what was
going to go on that day see--and heck
they'd tell us a little bit acout the
latest hydrogen calculations er something
(laughter) and that was - we 1 ci. sort of
get an idea of what was going on, then
the next t~ip around is the first time
you pick up Carnavon and then he'd sta.xrt
to give you an update and he'd get about
half way through what you wern going to
do in those state- side passes and we ' d
pick up Dave Scott again at Canton and
he I d finish it and then we'd come by that
fringe pass by the states and that ' s when
they changed the watch and we'd say hello
to everybody that was going off and coming
on and then we'd have all the stuff and
the next trip around - that would start
the three revs over the states see and
then it was just go--you had gear all
over the spacecraft - gee we had everything
