This is a preliminary transcript of the Gemini V (GT-5) flight crew debriefing, prepared by NASA's Spacecraft Operations Branch, Flight Crew Support Division, and dated September 1, 1965. It records Cooper and Conrad's operational account from the debriefing held August 30 to September 1, 1965 at Cape Kennedy. Topics include countdown, window fogging, POGO vibration, fairing jettison debris, radio loss, reentry and recovery. Visual sightings are left for a later part of the debriefing.

There's one in there where we did 089- let's see what it looked like . Look up 089--that 1 s the one wher e we had all the weather on it by Ka.no , wasn ' t it? Yeah, well , we saw these lakes but- We saw the lakes but that was in under a big deck of clouds . Did we or didn't we get the aerodrome. guess we didn ' t get the aerodrome. No , we didn't get it. Because remember we saw the lake and saw the river come out and then there was this whole deck of clouds over there so we couldn ' t get that because of the cloud cover . That's right. We saw the general area-- where it was at--but we couldn' t get on it at all . I
