This is a preliminary transcript of Part II of the Gemini 4 (GT-4) flight crew debriefing, prepared by NASA's Spacecraft Operations Branch, Flight Crew Support Division, and dated June 18, 1965. The debriefing began aboard the recovery ship USS Wasp and ended at the Manned Spacecraft Center. In it, astronauts McDivitt and White discuss how the spacecraft systems performed, including the platform, OAMS, RCS and control modes. They also cover operational checks, visual sightings, experiments, mission planning and training, and give recommendations for future crews.

This document is a preliminary transcript (Part II) derived from voice recordings of the Gemini 4 flight crew debriefing taken aboard the recovery ship, USS Wasp, on June 9, 1965. Part II of this document contains the “Visual Sightings” section of the debriefing (pages 196-224), where astronauts James McDivitt and Edward White describe their observations while aboard the spacecraft.

I think if I had worn my gloves anymore, I would have gotten a very sore first knuckle . If you are going to move them back, I think they should definitely be moved back behind the first knuckle. Where were they getting you, .fili? Right on the top of the knuckle . You think they ought to be back? If they are going to be anywhere, they ought to be back here, and I'm not too sure that is necessary. In fact, I think the best place is behind the fingertip and in front of the first joint . But, with the pl astic covers over the gloves. With the plastic cover on the glove , and I think we've got the right position for the lights . I don't think they should be back behind the first knuckle . I think they should be in front of that first knuckle and behind the fingertip, That's a good place for them. That's where we've been using them in the past. I think thf' Le::mn cover on the light bulb is a darn good idea , Yes, I think so.,. too . Shoot! I checked my lights before launch and found out that I already had one
