This is a preliminary transcript of Part II of the Gemini 4 (GT-4) flight crew debriefing, prepared by NASA's Spacecraft Operations Branch, Flight Crew Support Division, and dated June 18, 1965. The debriefing began aboard the recovery ship USS Wasp and ended at the Manned Spacecraft Center. In it, astronauts McDivitt and White discuss how the spacecraft systems performed, including the platform, OAMS, RCS and control modes. They also cover operational checks, visual sightings, experiments, mission planning and training, and give recommendations for future crews.

Part II of this document contains the “Visual Sightings” section of the debriefing (pages 196-224), where astronauts James McDivitt and Edward White describe their observations while aboard the spacecraft.

doctors quickly. I think it made them happy . It
wasn't a big drag on us. Medical Data Pass Type
2 was only about half of the Type 1. It wasn ' t
bad and the doctors got some use out of that.
The food evaluation was discussed with the medics
so we can just summarize .
I think we should put a big gold star on the food .
I think it was one of the most important parts of
the mission.
That ' s right . It was really good .
Both morale wise and just keeping your strength
up .
It was a good picker-upper when you felt lousy .
The chow tasted good . The thing I didn't like
about it --I think it gave me a touch of the GI ' s .
I think it tended to loosen you up a little bit .
I think, now as I look back,I would prefer to have
maybe two of the items in one of those plastic
containers and two hard items .
Gee , I thought t he way they were mixed up was
prett y good .
Sometimes though you'd have four rehydrat ed and
nothing crunchy . One time I had one that was all
