This is a preliminary transcript of Part I of the Gemini 4 (GT-4) flight crew debriefing. The Spacecraft Operations Branch of NASA's Flight Crew Support Division prepared it on June 16, 1965, from recordings of the debriefing held aboard the USS Wasp on June 9, 1965. In it, astronauts McDivitt and White describe the mission from an operational viewpoint, covering countdown, powered flight, insertion, orbital operations, reentry, landing and recovery. According to the preface, visual sightings were left for a later part.

206 White McDivitt White McDi.vitt White 20 :15, up at 22 : 15 , back at 23:15 , These are Zebra times , I ' m sure . So I don ' t know exactly what happened in there . Well , you ' re clear over on 24 now . Okay , you ' ve skipped the time when you were asleep . That ' s r i ght . I don ' t have anythi ng on that . Okay , I have you going to sleep. I logged myself awake at 11 : 30 , Command Pilot asleep at 11 : 45 , These are Greenwich times . If you add 8:45 onto that , it comes out 20 hours and 30 minutes , elapsed time . You gave me the instructions for the C- Band adapter times . I did tur n those on at 11 52 43 to continuous C- Band ori the adapter , and at 11 59 23 to COMMAND . Also during that peri od of time , I had been told to go ahead and run Apollo L~ndrnark Investigation without any fuel . But luckily, the spacecraft rotated right around as we came up to it and I was looking right down at the junction of , I believe , the ... and the White Nile . That ' s right . That was the first task we had of finding something on the ground . Yes , it r eally worked .
