This is a preliminary transcript of Part I of the Gemini 4 (GT-4) flight crew debriefing. The Spacecraft Operations Branch of NASA's Flight Crew Support Division prepared it on June 16, 1965, from recordings of the debriefing held aboard the USS Wasp on June 9, 1965. In it, astronauts McDivitt and White describe the mission from an operational viewpoint, covering countdown, powered flight, insertion, orbital operations, reentry, landing and recovery. According to the preface, visual sightings were left for a later part.

It was about 120 degrees off. Mine was something like this . One that I remember specifically--they gave me a map update and they wanted me to do a check over El Paso and El Centro . Looking at this I could see that if I was at the right time, I would have come up from the south; whereas, my pass was down l ike this , and I was an orbit or two off. Well then , we're not talking about the same thing . I think I had probably slipped it somehow on here . You might have plotted 60 Fast instead of 60 West, or something like that. Yes . But I was off by a time fac t or. It w~sn ' t too hard to realize that Mexico wasn ' t at night. I have a ne t! here that says , "RKV tape dump and a No. 1 Medical Pass on the Command Pilot at 07:02 GMT." That's right . And I got you up a few minutes before 07:00, if you recall .
