This is a preliminary transcript of Part I of the Gemini 4 (GT-4) flight crew debriefing. The Spacecraft Operations Branch of NASA's Flight Crew Support Division prepared it on June 16, 1965, from recordings of the debriefing held aboard the USS Wasp on June 9, 1965. In it, astronauts McDivitt and White describe the mission from an operational viewpoint, covering countdown, powered flight, insertion, orbital operations, reentry, landing and recovery. According to the preface, visual sightings were left for a later part.

I had planned to take a short series of pictures. Since we had gotten out early, I had a little extra time at this time , so I went ahead and turned the outside EVA camera on . I took a short sequence of pictures that actually gives the egress up out of the seat . I kind of went back down and came out again so they would get an actual picture of it , and then I turned the camera off again . I mounted the camera and I turned it on while it was on the mount . I took a short sequence when I asked Jim to hand me my l eft thermal glove , which he did . I put the thermal glove on while the camera was running. I t urned back around . I wanted to be sure the camera was off , so I took it off the mount and I turned the camera off and actually visually took a look to see if the switch was off. Did you lmock it off one time?
