FD-302, “Dark Triangle with Lights,” 2011
This Federal Bureau of Investigation FD-302 interview record, drafted in April 2025, documents a UAP sighting from June or July 2011. Two witnesses whose names are redacted described seeing a massive black triangular object at about 8 or 9 PM while leaving a driveway. It had a car-sized white light in each corner, flew low and slowly north with a pulsing hum, and was visible for 10 to 15 seconds. One witness estimated it was 800 feet up and 200 feet long.

This FD-302 records an April 2025 interview with two former U.S. military service members, in which the interviewees describe an incident potentially involving unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) in June or July of 2011. An FBI digital rendering based upon the observers’ descriptions accompanies this document, under the title FBI-UAP-D029.
FD-302a (Rev. 5-8-10) Continuation of FD-302 of __________________ and .. ,On 04/ll/2025 ,Page 2 of 3 triangle shaped object flying North. The object had a car- sized white l ight in each of its three corners that emitted a diffuse gl ow and were recessed back a bit from the corners . The object was l ow to the ground , and creating a l ow humming noise that made a pu l sing sound. told him to take a video , but by the time - got his phone out, the object had flown over the tree line behind the houses to the north , and out of s i ght . He had seen the object for approximate l y 10- 15 seconds . There were no contrai l s left behind the object. - fe l t dumbfounded and awestruck during the experience . When 111111 observed the object , he was overwhelmed by the size of it and how low it was to the ground. 111111 thought the object may have been 800 feet above the ground , and based on the dimensions of their environment, he estimated the object was 200 feet long and 1 00 feet wide . 111111 believed the object had more of an equilateral triangle shape , but based on the cal cul ated dimensions , it could have been more of an isosceles triangle. The object was moving slowly and steadily, and he also heard the pulsing sound . 111111 saw the three lights in t he corners , but also remembered seeing something in the middle of the triangle that was grayi sh or graphite colored. Neither 111111 nor - had a clear memory of the thickness or any other description of the vertical profile of the triangle. They opined that they were in i tially underneath the triangle and didn't really have a view of its side or vertical profile . They were then temporarily distracted by their unsucces s ful attempt to get a phone out to video record the UAP, at the moment when they likely would have had a better view of the back profile . 111111 believed a couple of people in the neighborhood also saw would also would try to see if as wel l as their neighbors who witnessed the UAP , would be willing to writ e a statement about their observation, or speak to the FBI about it .
