On 4/20/59 Mrs E.R. Withrow, Cemetery Road, Marysville, Washington (OL-93915) telephonically advised that on the preceding evening she and four of her neighbors observed an unidentified flying object over the Whidbey Island area. She went on to say that she personally looked at this object for some 40 minutes with binoculars and that it was no figment of her imagination. She related that she did not want any publicity about this but that she felt it her duty to report as one of her relatives had seen such a thing down in California and the authorities had been unhappy because he was late in reporting it. Mrs Withrow was advised that her information would be made available to the United States Air Force who would contact her if necessary.
