This Federal Bureau of Investigation Seattle field office file (100-18945) gathers flying saucer material from 1952 to 1960. It holds newspaper clippings, citizen complaint forms and agent memoranda about sightings over Pasco, Kennewick, Seattle, Richland and the Hanford reservation, Spokane and other Washington locations. The file records 1952 agreements with military intelligence on passing reports to OSI and the Air Force. One Hanford sighting from 1953 was attributed to a meteorological balloon. The FBI itself carried out no investigations.

Address of Complainant KE 6906 Telephone Number of Complainant 11-10-54 10-31 PM Date and Time Complaint Received FACTS OF COMPLAINT: Complainant advised that between 10-25 and 10-30 PM on this date he saw two white very bright objects in the sky in the north east direction of his residence. He stated they resembled two stars following one another but were not blinking and were traveling at a high rate of speed. He continued they were traveling one behind the other in a southern direction(toward town). He related subsequently after observing them for approximately one minute they disappeared into a cloud and only one appeared"to come out of " the cloud and it subsequently disappeared. Lt. Commander HENRY J. VOGT staff duty officer Pier #91, was furnished the above information and he said he would notify OSI at Mc Chord Field. SA R. E.
