Correspondence Relating to Project Blue Book, 1955

This National Archives file of 1955 correspondence relating to Project Blue Book gathers letters from students, writers, editors and members of the public asking the Air Force for UFO information, along with the replies and routing memos. Other items include an Office of Naval Research request for a briefing and a Corps of Engineers report of a radiosonde recovered at Sardis Lake, Mississippi. It also holds a Blue Book status summary for fiscal year 1955, which lists 430 reports, 21 of them evaluated as unknown.
