This declassified U.S. Air Force compilation of unidentified flying object incidents 101 to 172 contains check-list reports from 1948 and 1945. Incident 101 covers the 18 February 1948 sky explosion over Norcatur, Kansas, with letters from Norman G. Markham suggesting a lunar spacecraft, Dr. Lincoln LaPaz's reply judging it a genuine meteorite fall, and witness statements. The final incident, 172, records George F. Gorman's 27 minute F-51 pursuit of a white light over Fargo on 1 October 1948, corroborated by tower controllers and Dr. Cannon.

At approximately 11 P. M. on the 29th of June Mrs Hollar saw a luminous oval-shapped object a meat platter rolling along on its edge. It appeared to be going very fast since it disappeared in about 5 to 10 seconds. It was without sound or odor but seemed to have a tail which extended about a yard or so. Five minutes later, witness saw a second object and after another five-minute interval a third object was observed. They appeared in the Southwest and flew to the Northeast. The weather was cloudy with lightning and rolling thunder. The objects flew over the Oakland St. Area or just to the side of it (East of Oakland St.) They traveled about 1,000 ft and then disappeared behind the houses across the street from the witnesses.
