This U.S. Air Force compilation, released by the U.S. Department of War, holds numbered checklists and survey sheets for flying object incidents 1 through 100. It covers sightings by officers, test pilots and civilians at Muroc Army Air Field on 7 and 8 July 1947, and sightings by Portland, Oregon police on 4 July 1947. It also includes fireballs seen over California, Nevada and Oregon on 30 December 1947, a Houston fireball, and Finnish reports from January 1948.

An object was seen in this locality on 23 June 1877. The hour and approximately 5hrs P and we (my wife and I) were travelling most to the Plantation Golf Course, which is approximately five miles from Noise. On the way, I had needed to spot something in the air which seemed to be climbing on a hard cloud. It was half obscured in shape and just in the midst of illuminated looking as a mirror caught in the rays of the sun. After a few minutes of traveling and looking the object disappeared. I would say it was about 10 miles distant, and from our location, approximately 3,000 feet in the air.

Note: Witness states he has had "Aircraft Recognition" in the UBAF about 4 times and is positive that the object sighted was not an airplane
