This U.S. Air Force compilation, released by the U.S. Department of War, holds numbered checklists and survey sheets for flying object incidents 1 through 100. It covers sightings by officers, test pilots and civilians at Muroc Army Air Field on 7 and 8 July 1947, and sightings by Portland, Oregon police on 4 July 1947. It also includes fireballs seen over California, Nevada and Oregon on 30 December 1947, a Houston fireball, and Finnish reports from January 1948.

The results of Ryan's photographic effect should be taken against the dark background of the evening sky. He took the picture when the line was directly overhead. He also life watched it for about 10 minutes as it seemed to eased across the sky. For this reason it was a shiny bill at great height.
