According to a WHO News Broadcast at 2300-2315, 9 Jan 45, relayed from Danville, Kentucky, a Mr. & Mrs. Markham were driving in their car in or about Danville, Kentucky, when they saw a pencil-like object flying very high which left a long trail of smoke or exhaust. The trail shortly afterwards turned into a beautiful fireworks display of sparks, etc. The object appeared to be traveling a straight course.
