This Project Blue Book file on the Socorro, New Mexico sighting, held by the Internet Archive, collects Air Force records and 1964 press clippings. It covers policeman Lonnie Zamora's April 24, 1964 report of an egg-shaped object with four legs, the scorched brush and ground depressions, and Dr. J. Allen Hynek's investigation. An Air Force summary says soil and brush analysis found no radiation or propellant and the case stayed open. Later New Mexico reports were judged known objects or hoaxes.

A Burns Detective Agency officer, investigating a burglar alarm at Feder's Jewelers at Bassett Shopping Center Saturday night, found a broken window. He notified police, and a short time later Radio Patrolmen Troy Bunn and R. R. Macias picked up a suspect wandering the neighborhood nearby. He admitted stealing 49 rings and some cigarets, and implicated his partner who was arrested at home. The first suspect also had a marihuana cigaret. Feuille, local attorney, has been named general vice-chairman of the coming annual United Fund appeal, Ray Lockhart, general campaign chairman this year for the United Fund, announced today. Lockhart, a former El Pasoan who left a vice-presidency of Stone and Webster Service Corp. in New York City to assume presidency of El Paso Electric Co. last July, was recently appointed general campaign chairman. Charles H. Leavell is president of the United Fund of El Paso County. MR. FEUILLE has been president of the Community Concert Ass'n. for the last four years, is on the YWCA board of trustees, and is a director of El Paso National Bank and the Northgate National Bank. A graduate of the University of Virginia Law School in 1948, he began practicing law here with the firm now known as Hardie, Grambling, Sims and Galatzan and was with it until 1957 when he was made a partner with the firm now known as Scott, Hulse, Marshall and Feuille. He is president of the school board of St. Clement's Episcopal Parish School, was a senior warden of the Church and has served on its vestry. HE WAS a founder and secretary for both the International Club and the Coronado Country Club, is a former director of El Paso Country Club, is a member of El Paso Club, and El Paso Chamber of Commerce. Altogether, 14 specific loans involving $20 million in six states are cited in the indictment. Additional cases are expected to be brought during the trial.
