This Project Blue Book file on the Socorro, New Mexico sighting of 24 April 1964 compiles an Air Force record card and a large set of press clippings. The clippings cover policeman Lonnie Zamora's report of an egg-shaped object with four landing marks and scorched brush, plus J. Allen Hynek's investigation and follow-up reports from La Madera, Edgewood and elsewhere. An Air Force summary says soil and brush analysis found no foreign material, radiation or propellant, that the case remains open, and that later related sightings were explained or found to be hoaxes.

Dear Dr. Hynnek :

may have a land on the person you are looking for. Within a week or two after Zamora's sighting on April 24, 1964, my mother sent me a clipping from Dubuque, Iowa which told of a person from Dubuque who saw the sancer in Socorro. The clipping was from The Telegraph Herald, Dubuque's newspaper, and included a picture of the individual. As a recall, the man was driving into Socorro at the time. Unfortunately, no longer have the clipping. However, am sure that the name and address of the individual could be obtained from the Telegraph Herald in Dubuque.

Very truly yours , Robert A. Biberman 601 Fitch Ave.
