United Press International SOCORRO, N.M., April 27. It's a good place for a ing saucer. Right on the ge of White Sands Mise Range on the wide en New Mexico desert, st 30 miles northwest of e site of the world's first atomic blast.
Socorro policemen Lonnie Zaora says he saw it, and police military men seem inclined to lieve him.
Zamora is a "very reliable witness," Army Capt. Richard T. older, uprange commander of white Sands' Stallion Range, said. older, whose headquarters is in this central New Mexico town, was called in by local po after Zamora reported seeing a object Friday.
DEPUTY SHERIFF James Jackie said he believes "it's something out of the ordinary, something very few have ever en." "I was scared." Zamora said:

With Zamora is Sgt. David Moddy, assistant to UFO (unidentified flying objects) investigator Maj. William Connor of Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque. Lawyers Want More Examinations For Insanity
RUBY, AWAITING death in the electric hair for the murder of accused presidential assassin Leo Harvey Oswald, was not seriously hurt in the incident early yesterday morning.
DALLAS, April 27. — Jack Ruby, still sore from a headfirst dash into his cell wall in an apparent suicide attempt, was expected back in court today to ask for more mental tests.
He was expected to appear with his lawyers this morning before Dist. Judge Joe B. Brown, who presided over his trial, to argue that mental tests given him before the trial did not go deep enough. His attorneys, headed by lawyer-physician Dr. Hubert Winston Smith, filed a request for the tests last week. They said they want more tests, including the use of hypnotism and truth serum (sodium pentathol).
SHERIFF BILL DECKER said Ruby was talking to S. J. Bow.
