This USAF Project Blue Book file, distributed by NICAP, covers the radar and visual sightings at Bentwaters and Lakenheath, England, on 13 and 14 August 1956. It contains the record card, Air Intelligence Information Reports, ATIC correspondence with Dr. J. Allen Hynek, and a retired controller's later letter to the University of Colorado describing an RAF interceptor being tailed. The Air Force attributed the radar returns to anomalous propagation and meteors, and the visual sighting to Mars.

Lt Rowe also stated that a flashing beacon was flashing through a low hake along the east coast of England from the vicinity of the village of Orford. Weather Report from the Bentwaters weather detachment for the period 21002 to 22002, 13 August 1956 for the Bentwaters area follows: Winds: Surface - Direction 290°, velocity 5 to 10 knots. 6000 ft - Direction 260°, velocity 30 knots. 15,000 ft - Direction 260°, velocity 30 knots. 16,000 ft - Direction 260°, velocity 35 knots. 20,000 ft - Direction 260°, velocity 70 knots. 30,000 ft - Direction 260°, velocity 90 knots. 50,000 ft - Direction 260°, velocity 10 knots. Ceiling: 85,000 ft Visibility: 9 miles No thunderstorms were located in the area of the sightings. Several aircraft were in the Bentwaters area at the time of those sightings but there could not have been mistaken for the Unidentified Flying Objects. No physical evidence of the sightings is available.
