This 217-page Project Blue Book desk file on the 24 April 1964 Socorro, New Mexico sighting by policeman Lonnie Zamora comes from the Rob Mercer collection. It contains the Blue Book record card, which carries the case as unidentified pending more data, along with Foreign Technology Division messages and resumes and a narrative of the sighting. It also holds inquiries about lunar modules, helicopters and VTOL craft, soil and radiation findings, and a letter by J. Allen Hynek rejecting Donald Menzel's hoax hypothesis.

Young Sharon Stull, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Stull, !1409 Milmoore SE, told her par- ents ~d Police Lt. C. K. Jolly, the "queer looking thing'' bounced up and down about three times in the sky and then left. Jolly said the girl's younger sister, Robin, 8, also saw the object but refused to look at it and ran off to play. The girl · was treated by a physician for bums about the eyes and nose who, according to Jolly, . said he believes Sharon "saw some- thing and it burned her." · Sharon said it was not the ·sun she was looking at..
