USA UNDERGOES UFO AVALANCHE!
Beginning in late April the United States bas l i terallJ been besieged
with aightings ot unidenti!ied !lying objects. Even in August, as this is being
written, the "!lap" shows no signs or letting up. Sighting reports keep pouring
in trom ·all Qver the nation. However, a very large percentage ot reports are
coming !rom the 'llestern U.S., the Ohio Valley, and the Pennsylvania-New Jersey
region. ' 'From its nationwide press clipping service AMUFO has received hundreds
ot newspaper clippings dealing with UFO sightings. This enables us to con!ira
the aajor sighting& and report directly to members.
The !lap started, as most know, when Socorro, N.M., policeman Lonnie .
z-ora (note incorrect spelling in above clipping) spot.ted an egg-ahaped metallic
object abo~t a aile north ot the town. Two girder-like lege were visible on the
aide of t~e object Zamora !aced (continued on page 3).
