(b)(1) (b)(1) (U) Global Integration Timeline: 90 Day OAI Outlook (U) The IAEA and Iranian officials reached an agreement that will extend its nuclear monitoring until 24 Jun. While the two sides reached an extension, the head of the UN's nuclear inspectorate disclosed that Iran's failure to provide credible explanations for traces of uranium found at two undeclared sites is "a big problem" that is affecting the country's credibility, as it goes through its fifth round of negotiations in Vienna. Sector Leadership Event (b)(1) (U) Iran and the signatories of JCPOA continued talks to reach a nuclear agreement in Vienna, which Iranian officials said will not impede upon its electoral process. The Iranian Interior Ministry named the final candidates approved for the 18 June presidential elections by the Guardian Council, with several prominent reformist and pragmatist excluded from the list. The disqualification of key presidential hopefuls triggered harsh reactions in Iran, with the current President writing Ayatollah Khamenei to express his grievances about the disqualification of certain presidential hopefuls — including his Vice President Es'haq Jahangiri. The Guardian Council's decision seems to solidify conservative Ebrahim Raisi's position as the top presidential candidate, which is projected to have an effect on the JCPOA negotiations if a deal is not reached beforehand.
