The Philippine military undertook a resupply mission for its troops in the Second Thomas Shoal in the Kalayaan Island
Group (KIG) on Tuesday, exactly one week after the mission was aborted after two Chinese Coast Guard vessels used
water cannons to attack the two civilian boats bringing supplies to the soldiers. The delivery of supplies for the small
contingent of soldiers aboard the partly sunken BRP Sierra Madre, which Filipino troops are using as an outpost in
securing the Second Thomas Shoal, apparently went along with a schedu led troops' rotation.

America's electric grid and other key infrastructure remain vulnerable to an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack from
China, North Korea or other adversary, and the U.S. is at a pivotal moment if it wants to avoid a potential doomsday
scenario, a panel of experts warned Tuesday. At a major virtual forum hosted by the Universal Peace Federation,
specialists warned of the growing threat of an EMP attack that could knock out communications, water and sewer
services, transportation systems, retail and other central components of American society.

Ukraine, which has accused Russia of massing troops nearby and says Belarus could send migrants over its borders,
launched an operation on Wednesday to strengthen its frontier, including military drills for anti-tank and airborne units.
The Ukrainian state border service said the "special operation" at the border with Belarus involved troops of the
National Guard, police, Armed Forces and other reserves.

machine gun pointing aft, another pointing fore into the drizzle. Commander Ivan Ovchar explains his ship's mission: "To
defend and maintain the sovereignty of Ukraine." The threat, the officer and many of Ukraine's allies believe, comes
from Russia.

Russia's defence minister on Tuesday accused U.S. bombers of rehearsing a nuclear strike on Russia from two different
directions earlier this month and complained that the planes had come within 20 km (12.4 miles) of the Russian border.
But the Pentagon said its drills were announced publicly at the time and adhered to international protocols.
