This 2025 Office of the Secretary of Defense FOIA release (25-F-1324) collects Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review records on Christopher Mellon's submissions, a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, from 2022 to 2024. His article "The Next Step: UAPs in Space and America's New Sputnik Moment" was cleared in July 2022, and his speech "UAPs and ET" was cleared as amended for accuracy. His foreword to Luis Elizondo's book was cleared in January 2024.

Your submission for prepublication security review is CLEARED for public release. This clearance does not include any photograph, picture, exhibit, caption, or other supplemental material not specifically approved by this office, nor does this clearance imply Department of Defense (DoD) endorsement or factual accuracy of the material. The appearance of external hyperlinks does not constitute endorsement by the DoD of the linked websites, or the information, products or services contained therein. The DoD does not exercise any editorial, security, or other control over the information found at these locations.
